Lesson 1 of 7
Angles in All Four Quadrants and Exact Values
Places any angle, including negative angles and angles over 360°, in its quadrant and uses CAST to give the sign of sin, cos and tan. Students derive the exact values for 30°, 45° and 60° and use them for related angles.

Lesson 2 of 7
Trigonometric Identities
Derives the identities sin²θ + cos²θ ≡ 1 and tan θ ≡ sin θ ÷ cos θ from the unit circle. Students use them to simplify expressions, prove other identities, find exact ratios from one given ratio, and eliminate θ from a pair of equations.

Lesson 3 of 7
Simple Trigonometric Equations
Solves equations such as sin θ = k, cos θ = k and tan θ = k over a given interval. Students find the second solution from the graph or CAST, add or subtract the period to find the rest, and solve a sin θ = b cos θ by dividing by cos θ.
